Research Alignment
The group works on crowd intelligence, embodied intelligence, spatial computing, ubiquitous computing, and domain-specific large language models. Prospective students are encouraged to review our selected publications, research projects, and team before contacting us.
Ph.D. Students
Research experience and growth potential are central to doctoral recruitment. Strong candidates normally have experience with frontier research, a clear understanding of at least one research problem, evidence of academic writing or publication, the ability to present research clearly, and a concrete interest in the group's work.
Master's Students
Strong undergraduate performance and independent thinking are important. Applicants should have a solid mathematical foundation, practical programming experience in languages such as Python, MATLAB, Java, C, or C++, and enough English proficiency to read research literature. We also value initiative, resilience, clear reasoning, and effective communication.
Training Model
- Mentoring: each new student works with a senior group member and participates in experiments, discussions, and paper development.
- Research: students identify a research question, organize a project, collaborate with teammates, and work toward a publication when the evidence supports it.
- Practice: students may join applied projects to strengthen engineering skills and contribute to patents or other research outputs.
- Competitions: students are encouraged to lead or join innovation and data-science competitions.
- Thesis: the group provides structured guidance for proposal, mid-term review, pre-defense, and final defense.
Undergraduate Interns
Each undergraduate intern works with a senior mentor and joins project experiments and group discussions. Students who identify a research interest may take responsibility for a focused project, form a small team, participate in competitions, and develop a high-quality undergraduate thesis.
